VSA-8X/18X
System Analyzer for ARC International (formerly VAutomation)
V186 and Turbo186 Cores
The VSA-8X/18X supports the industry-leading family of 80186 cores from ARC International (formerly VAutomation.) The latest core is the Turbo186 and provides more than 2X the performance of Intel's 80C186 with clock speeds up to 80 MHz and enhanced address space up to 16 MB. To learn more about the core, visit the web site at: ARC Turbo 186 Core
The VSA-8X/18X System Analyzer is designed to support the special features and integrated peripherals of the VAutomation synthesizable core. Special "silicon hooks" for System-on-Chip development are integrated into the synthesizable IP model for the core. These On-Chip Instrumentation (OCI) extensions allow FS2 to provide a powerful debug tool with advanced features at a competitive price.
The VSA-8X/18X debugger is contained in a compact chassis that connects to the target system using a standard 20 pin AMP debug connector. It requires access to only 4 pins in the core processor. The system runs on a Windows® 95/98/NT/2000 PC over an IEEE-1284 EPP/ECP high speed parallel port. An optional graphical, source level debugger program provides an intuitive, easy to use interface.
