FS2 System Navigator JTAG Probes

FS2 System Navigator probes support the PDtrace On-chip Instrumentation (OCI®) extensions standard for many MIPS cores. Both on-chip and off-chip trace features are supported with off-chip trace optional. In addition to on-chip and off-chip trace, the probes support multi core debug, performance monitoring, flash programming, MIPS SDE software tools, third-party debug IDE and other state of the art features. This makes the System Navigator probe a powerful debug tool with advanced features at a competitive price.

The System Navigator probes connect to the target system using a standard 14-pin EJTAG debug connector or 38-pin Mictor connector for off-chip trace capture. USB 2.0, 10/100 Ethernet, and parallel host connections are supported.

FS2 System Navigator is integrated with the GNU-based MIPS SDE tool chain with GDB/Insight debugger running on Windows and Linux. All the FS2 tool features are available from the GDB or Insight debugger interfaces. This provides an excellent source level debugger with comprehensive MIPS compiler benefits at a low cost. System Navigator probes can also be used with the Mentor Graphics EDGE debuggers and Nucleus RTOS, and are also supported by the Viosoft embedded Linux Arriba debugger.
