ISA-ACTEL51
In-Target System Analyzer Software Upgrade for
Actel Core8051™ Microcontroller Core

The ISA-ACTEL51 System Analyzer is designed to support the special features and integrated peripherals of the Actel Core8051 microcontroller core in the Actel FPGA. Special debug logic is integrated into the Core8051 MCU. The On-Chip Instrumentation (OCI®) extensions allow FS2 to provide a powerful debug tool with advanced features at a competitive price. To visit the Actel web site and learn more about the Core8051 MCU click here >>>.

The Actel FlashPro or FlashPro Lite programmers provide communications with the OCI block in the MCU. They connect to the target system using a standard 26-pin programming/ debug connector. The system runs on a Windows® 98/NT/2000/XP PC over an IEEE-1284 EPP/ECP high-speed parallel port or USB port. A graphical, source level debugger program provides an intuitive, easy to use interface. An optional Keil µVision2 software debugger interface is also available for complete compatibility with the Keil software tool chain.

System Analyzer Software
A feature-limited version of the system analyzer software is included in the Actel Core8051 and Platform8051 development kits. The features are limited to software and hardware breakpoints only. Contact Actel Corporation for the Core 8051 development kit.

The software upgrade product is available from FS2 to add complex triggers on data values and cycle types and to add the instruction trace feature. Instruction trace gives you the ability to review the executed instructions, assembly and source code up to a break or trigger point.
