Logic Navigator includes several features that have been optimized for use with Actel FPGAs and in particular for operations with Actel APA and related FLASH based FPGAs. ============== Installation ============== FS2 Logic Navigator software is distributed on CD or via the Internet as a password protected lnav-actel_.exe file. The file requires an FS2 provided password for execution. To install software, the user must register with FS2 at http://www.fs2.com/logic_navigator. The password will be sent to the authorized user via email. Actel users who receive Logic Navigator software as part of a Libero software release or as part of an Actel evaluation kit, receive a 45 day Logic Navigator evaluation license. To install the software, insert the CD and run the setup.exe program (this is found in the root directory on the CD). It is recommended that earlier versions of Logic Navigator software be uninstalled prior to installation. Software update information is supplied electronically via the FS2 website to licensed and registered users. To receive an update, browse the FS2 downloads page and follow the links to the Logic Navigator page. Click on the appropriate lnav-actel-.exe file to begin the download. A password is required to install the software. To run the Logic Navigator software, the user must register with FS2 either through www.fs2.com web site or by phone and provide the serial number of their hard drive where the Logic Navigator software is installed. FS2 Support will then email a config command line that includes the license information. It will look similar to: config license_04000001 F355CBC4807CF3A370BB42915FE848BC Next, the user runs the Logic Analyzer Console program (Start > Programs > FS2 > Logic Navigator Console) and copies the command into the console and executes it (Enter). The license information is installed into the FS2.ini file (located in the \winnt or \windows directory). Now the user can run the Logic Navigator GUI (Start > Programs > FS2 > Logic Navigator GUI). The Logic Navigator OCI Generator is supplied as a separate password protected executable file lnav-oci-actel-revnumber.exe that will typically be found on the same installation CD. As above, contact FS2 for passwords required for installation and support. ============== Change history ============== Changes in 2.0.2.6 ------------------ - Incorporated an updated FlashPro3 driver - OCI Generator signal view filtering Changes in 2.0.2.4 ------------------ - Added support for automatic trace RAM generation for OCIs to be used on Actel PA3 and Fusion devices. Changes in 2.0.1.1 ------------------ - Fixed a problem that was preventing some JTAG-chained configurations of the OCI from being accessed correctly. - Removed ELSE and ELSE IF constructs from the trigger edit pane of LNAV GUI. These constructs have never been supported for Actel LNAV OCI, and it was an error that they were previously reflected in the GUI. Changes in 1.8.2.2 ------------------ - Fixed OCI Generator hanging problem that was happening when parsing VHDL generate blocks. Changes in 1.8.2.1 ------------------ - Added OCI Generator support for VHDL designs. Changes in 1.8.1.8 ------------------ - OCI Generator has been incorporated into this software installation, instead of requiring an additional installation program. Changes in 1.8.1.7 ------------------ - Initial release of On-chip Logic Navigator. ============== Known Issues ============== =============== Contacting FS2 =============== Please contact FS2 with any comments or questions: First Silicon Solutions, Inc. 4000 SW Kruse Way Place Bldg 3, Suite 210 Lake Oswego, OR 97035 (503) 489-0311 voice (503) 489-0315 fax http://www.fs2.com Sales support: info@fs2.com (503) 489-0311 x103 Technical support: support@fs2.com (503) 489-0311 x104
